Dissertation note: Undergraduate Thesis Bachelor of Elementary Education General Education University of Rizal System, Rodriguez, Rizal year 2025 Summary: Many people face difficulties in life, especially those who are not bom into wealthy families. For students, it becomes even harder when their parents can't fully support their educational needs. This study aimed to explore the lived experiences of education students who work while studying at the University of Rizal System, Rodriguez Campus, during the school year 2023-2024. We used a descriptive-qualitative approach and gathered data through interviews. The results showed that most of the students have white-collar jobs, which require more mental effort than physical labor. Nine out of the 15 participants had been working for over a year. Based on their responses, the biggest challenge they face is managing their time between work and school. Although working students encounter many difficulties, they each have their own ways of dealing with these challenges. Working students will always face struggles, especially when balancing school and work. However, they find different ways to manage these struggles, such as planning their schedules, wise spending of money, taking time to rest, putting in consistent effort, and staying motivated.
