This study aimed to analyze thelife's realities reflected in three children's book by Dr. Seuss namely "I Had Trouble In Getting To SollaSollew", "Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are", and "Oh the Places You'll Go' and to relate its whole content to realities that the students or teenagers may encounter in their life.
This study anchored on qualitative type of research. Qualitative research is a scientific method of observation to gather non-numerical data. This type of research "refers to the meanings, concepts definitions, characteristics, metaphors, symbols, and description of things and not to their "counts or measures.
The characters in three children's book have shown similarities as well as differences. The three leading characters are both facing their difficulties and conflicts in the stories and all of them show learning in the progress.
Although they were three different stories chosen by the researchers, the purpose of Dr. Seuss in writing those stories which are to present themes in life such as: Self-Empowerment and Challenges.
This style involved using words consisting of two short syllables followed
by one long syllable or using words consisting of two unstressed syllable followed by one stressed syllable. The verses were then compiled into groupings of four lines. Along with this metric method, Seuss also utilized italics, full capitalization, different colored words and different sized letters to steer the reader down the paths of his book.
All three children's book entertains the readers and interprets life. They are all focused on the emotional state of each characters especially the main character. The author wants to trigger the reader's different reactions by giving each story a surprising twist, and more complicated conflicts.
The three children's book tackles societal issues that youth now days would probably be experiencing like decision making in the story of oh the places you'll go, I had trouble in getting to Solla Sollew and did I ever tell you how lucky you all the protagonist of these books make a wonderful decision and that decisions can happen and can also decide and choose by the readers in our society.
The three books tackle a lot of conflict that is relevance in today's generation, actually not only today's but also happen in very human being that's entering the youth's stage. This book can help every youth to understand what is happening in their current and be prepared on what is coming next.
To the readers the book is very informative and entertaining as well the book can inspire and motivate the reader. To youth they can reflect on the positive sides of the stories that can motivate and enlighten their minds to proceed on whatever they are doing to entertained them and to leave a remarkable lesson that they can used in day to day living, teachers they should be aware on how they can motivate they children and this is one of the best way to enlightened the minds of their students, parents should buy a lot of books like this for their child even if they don't understand it already when they grew and ready to read it again, the book can motivate them alone if they understand it.
Students of literature they should top their sense of critical thinking and read beyond the lines to fully understand the books, Writers. They should be inspired to share their experiences and knowledge to the world.
In "I Had Trouble in Getting to Solla Sollew man vs. nature, "Did I Ever
Tell You How Lucky You Are?"the conflict that present there is man vs. self, and the last one is, "Oh The Places You'll Go" the conflict is man vs. self.
The researcher's analysis to the books "I Had Trouble in Getting to Solla Sollew", "Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You are?" and "Oh! The Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss is the same as they have all the same point of view and interpretation to the material used in this humble attempt to literary analysis.
The three stories appeal more to the reader's emotion because of the great words of Dr. Seuss that enlightened their minds, inspired and motivate their hearts. The societal issues that were mentioned in the stories are happened to typical youth as today. The books are relevant and appropriate in today's time because it discussed current issues appropriate to the youths who may also experience the mains characters' situation in the stories such as; youths that look down to themselves, lack of motivation, and self-esteem.
The researchers recommend the study to the parents. They should have the knowledge in the stories that their children are reading so that they will be able to guide them in choosing the rightto read.
For the students of literature, becausethey should top their sense of critical thinking and judgment as to what books are worth reading. The researchers also recommend this study to the future educator, because they can also use the manuscript as a springboard or pattern when they are dealing with the literature so as to uphold the value judgment of the student's specifically on things that affect their perspective in life.
For the aspiring writer as they should be inspired to write literary pieces that gives importance to their work for the quality, time, and effort exerted.,
Lastly, this study also recommended for thefuture researchers, because they should use this as a take-off point for deeper analysis.
