Dissertation note: Undergraduate Thesis Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Studies University of Rizal System, Rodriguez, Rizal 2018 Summary: This study aimed to determine the awareness of men on R.A.9710 Magna Carta for Women at Barangay San Jose Rodriguez, Rizal with the total number of male respondents of 50. The researchers used the qualitative descriptive and quantitative method. In qualitative descriptive the researchers used questioner and face to face interview from some of the respondents. In quantitative method, the researchers used questioner checklist as a primary source data in order to determine the awareness of men on R.A. 9710 at Barangay San Jose Rodriguez, Rizal. Tabulation and interpretation were done accordingly. From the data gathered, the following findings were summarized: On the profile of respondents in terms of age, most of respondents belonged to the age bracket of 20 to 25 with a frequency of 11 or 22.0. In terms of civil status, most of respondents were single with a frequency of 28 or 56.0. In terms educational attainment, most of respondents attained high school level with a frequency of 22 or 44.0 On the awareness of men on R.A. 9710: Magna Carta for Women. The respondents were highly aware on Social rights with a weighted mean of 4.27. The right to adequate relevant and gender fair education had the highest mean of 4.66, Political rights with a weighted mean of 4.31. The right to vote had the highest mean of 4.68. And on economic rights had a weighted mean of 4.34. The right to education had the highest mean of 4.56. The overall weighted mean was 4.31. On how men contributed in the society in order to protect women against abuse, exploitation and violence. They said that women should be respected, should be loved sincerely and should be helped in doing household chores. On how Gender and Development Programs were implemented by the local government officials. They conducted seminars on Awareness in Violence against Women and Children, Family Planning and Livelihood Programs. On recommendation of respondents on how to protect women against abuse, violence and exploitation was to inform them that discrimination on โทร women was a form of abuse and giving them, seminars may help to decrease these kinds of social issues in the society. On the implementation of Violence Against Women's desk was one of the reasons of having low cases of abuse in the society. As the respondents were asked on programs implemented regarding women's right they typically answered Gender and Development related programs such as free livelihood programs, free Zumba and free maternity leave on all women employees. Based on the summary of findings, the following conclusions were drawn: Regardless of man's education attainment, awareness on the rights of women becomes important to his existence. Men are highly aware on the Social, Political and Economic rights of women. Men are concerned in protecting women by loving and respecting them. Local government officials initiate program to protect women's rights in the society. In light of the foregoing findings and conclusions, the following are hereby recommended. Women should know their own rights to be able to earn respect and protect themselves from violence, abuse and discrimination. Gender and Development must continue to implement programs related to women's empowerment so that discrimination on women will be totally eliminated. Violence Women's Desk should always be on guard on the proper implementation of rights of women. Men should love and respect women as significant partners in their existence. Future Researchers could replicate the present study in order to deepen the findings by considering other possible variables.
