Dissertation note: Undergraduate thesis Bachelor of Secondary Education University of Rizal System, Rodriguez Rizal 2018 Summary: This study was conducted to determine the level of anxiety experienced by the pregnant adolescents in District II, Rodriguez, Rizal. There were fifteen pregnant adolescents served as respondents of this study. It was conducted during the School Year 2017-2018. The descriptive method of research with the quantitative design were utilized in this research. Based on the analysis and statistical treatment applied to data gathered, the following findings were summarized. With regards to the profile, majority of them were under the bracket of 17- 20 years old and belong to a nuclear family. The anxiety level of the respondents in terms of Physiological, Emotional and Intellectual were all verbally interpreted as Mild Anxiety. The most frequently used coping mechanism used by the respondents were Seeking Advice and pray to God. Thus, provide emotional support and security through love and acceptance. From the gathered data, the following conclusions were elicited: The students were not matured yet to handle such anxiety or problem. The anxiety levels experienced by the students in terms of physical, emotional and intellectual are mild. Pregnant students most preferred coping mechanism to their anxiety was seeking advice or joining support group. Thus, provide emotional support and security through love and acceptance. Schools and the local government of Rodriguez, Rizal conducted different kinds of trainings and seminars to minimize the cases of early pregnancy. The parents supported the students to cope up their pregnancy anxiety. In view of the conclusion made on the basis of the findings of this study the following recommendations are presented. The Local Government Unit (LGU) should conduct a campaign informing the young teenagers the disadvantage in early engagement in premarital sex and early pregnancy. Department of Education (DepEd) should implement measures to avoid early pregnancy and premarital sex in high school and elementary students involving all stakeholders. Future Researchers may conduct similar studies using other variables and may use the result of this study as a reference. Parents should support their children in whatever predicaments in their lives for them to help decreasing anxiety which the respondent my possibly occured. Teachers may teach a comprehensive understanding about Abstinence and the consequences of engaging pre-marital sex. Students must learned and understand the conflict or problems they may encounter once they engage in early pregnancy and premarital sex.
