EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study analyzed the job satisfaction and challenges of retiring teachers and employees during the school year 2017-2018 at university of rizal system- morong campus. A total of (4) retiring teachers and employees were used as respondents, who were described in terms of age, gender, civil status, monthly family income, length of service and current position. Based on the gathered data, majority of the respondents are 59 years old, female, married, with a monthly family income of 31,000-50,000. On the length of service 30 years and above with the current position of associate professor. With regards to the significant difference of the level of job satisfaction of the respondents, there is no significant difference in terms of age, gender, civil status and monthly family income but with significant difference in the length of service, in nature of work and achievement and also in current position on achievement. There is no significant difference on the extent of challenges of the respondents with respect to age, gender, civil status, monthly family income and current position, while in terms of length of service there is significant difference on social relationship. From the results of the study, the following are hereby recommended, the respondents must be aware with the benefits and privileges provided by the institution, also lowering potential retirement to 55 years old would be rewarding for the teachers and employees to help them focus more on the things that they want to pursue including personal intention and also to feel relax and to enjoy their life. Follow up study which may focused on the financial challenges that the retiring teachers and employees may experience must be conducted so that they will be more prepared to face possible financial issue before and after retirement including other related concerns. Institutions responsible for the welfare of the retirees may conduct seminars about the preparation before and after retirement.
