PROJECT SUMMARY The project Free-Range Chicken and Upland Kangkong Production was established to satisfy the requirement of the Bachelor in Agricultural Technology (Bachelor of Agricultural Technology) curriculum under the program of Occupational Internship Program (OIP). The Free-Range Chicken Raising covered four (4) months of operation which was started on July 13, 2018 to November 19, 2018. The operation was consisted of two cycles with fifty (50) heads of chicken per cycle, a total of one hundred heads (100). The stock raised was Superior F1 Genetics Chicken (Hubbard), known to be high in livability and feed conversion efficiency with an average initial weight of 40 grams. The chickens were raised in a free-range manner with an access on outdoor. The feeds were mixture of formulated and commercial. The components of formulated feeds were selected according to their crude protein content. Feeding was undertaken in an adlibitum method. The one hundred (100) heads of chicken were marketed wholesale in per head basis to a contact buyer amounting to two hundred pesos (P200.00) each. The Free-Range Chicken Raising incurred a total expenses of thirteen thousand five hundred seventy nine pesos and thirty five centavos (P13,579.35) and generated an income of six thousand four hundred twenty pesos and sixty five centavos (P6,420.65) resulted to an ROI of forty seven point twenty eight percent (47.28%). Upland Kangkong Production was operated from August 12, 2018 to December 15, 2018. The proponent used seeds and cuttings as planting material for the project which covered the 400 m2 land area. The total harvest of production was one hundred six (106) of bundles. The total gross sale of Upland Kangkong Production was six thousand nine hundred pesos (P6,900.00), with a total expenses of three thousand one hundred two pesos and thirty three centavos (P3,102.33) resulted to a net income of three thousand seven hundred ninety seven pesos and sixty seven centavos (P3,797.67) and an ROI of one hundred twenty two point forty one percent (122.41%). The total net income of the projects was eleven thousand seven hundred eighteen and thirty two centavos (P11, 718.32). The implementation of the project was an opportunity for the student to enhance and practice her knowledge in her chosen field. The community was benefited through affordable products that the project produced. This can drag interest from the locality to venture in a small farming business for economic progress of their life. The less use of chemicals in agriculture was needed for the rehabilitation of the soil, as well as measures to an effective solution for the increasing diseases being acquired from unhealthy way of producing foods. On the other hand, both commodities have a significant contribution in the environment as a friendly eco-solution.
