EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the developed multimedia presentation in teaching Science for Grade 3. It was conducted in Baras Elementary School, School year 2014-2015. The pupil-respondents were 20 pupils in control group and another 20 pupils in experimental group. There were also 10 teacher-respondents involved in the study. Experimental, desciptive research design and documentary analysis were used in the study. Experimental research design was used in utilizing pretest and posttest. For the acceptabiity of the developed multimedia presentation, descriptive research design was used. Descriptive qualitative method, mean, standard deviation, and t-test were also the statistical tools used. After conducting the study, the researchers found out that both experimental and control group improved their performance as revealed in their pretest and posttest with respect to different lessons in Science. However, it was the experimental group who highl improved their performance. Also, it was found out that their is significant difference in the performance of both groups as revealed by pretest and posttest. Based on summary and findings, it was concluded that the experimental group who was exposed in multimedia presentation achieved better performance in different lessons in Science compared to the control group which did not use the presentation. However, the presentation was found to be effective. Also, it was acceptable to use the material in teaching Science as evaluated by teacher-respondents. The researchers recommended that the materials could be used in teaching Science for Grade 3. It could also be developed depending on the needs of the learners. It was also suggested to conduct parallel study on the effectiveness of the material on other area subject.
