EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop the Electropneumatic Punch and shear tool. It was conducted at the University of Rizal System, Morong Campus in the school year 2014-2015. The researchers utilized an adapted modified questionnaire checklist to determine the level of acceptability of the developed electropneumatic punch and shear tool. It was validated and accomplished by the respondents who provided information for the completion of the study. The results were tallied and computed for analysis. There were two groups of respondents who tested the acceptability of the project. The first group consisted of ten (10) experts who had the knowledge, skills and full awareness on the construction of the developed Electropneumatic punch and shear tool while the other group consisted of fifteen (15) students who are taking Bachelor of Technology major in Mechanical and Production Technology at the same University. Qualitative description was used in developing the Electropneumatic punch and shear tool and weighted mean was used in determining the acceptability of the electropneumatic punch and shear tool. To determine its significant difference between the evaluations made by two groups of respondents, t-test was used. Based on the analysis and interpretation of data, the study revealed that, on the desing and construction of the Electropneumatic Punch and Shear Tool, the researchers were able to design a well detailed assembly drawing, pictorial drawing and exploded drawing and constructed electropneumatic punch and shear tool out of locally available materials. Based on the analysis of the gathered data, the following findings are presented. On the design and construction of the project, the developed Electropnuematic Punch and Shear Tool out was designed, constructed and developed out of locally available materials. On the try-out and revisions made, the developed electromagnetic punch and shear tool was tested for operations wherein different flaws and shorts coming were observed. Through try- out and revisions method the device reached the output's function and attained its objective. The findings revealed that, in terms of Durability, Functionality, Usefulness and Safety and Maintenance as evaluated by the end users and experts all variables are verbally interpreted as excellent. On the significant difference made by the experts and the students in terms of the above variables, this study found that, there is no significant difference on the evaluation made by the respondents in terms of durability, functionality, usefulness, and safety and maintenance; hence the null hypothesis was accepted. Based on the findings, the study concluded that, there is no significant difference on the evaluation made by the respondents in terms of durability, functionality, usefulness and safety and maintenance. And based on the foregoing findings and conclusions, the researchers recommended that, administrators of university and Colleges should encourage their students and instructors to develop and construct instructional machine, gadget and other shop equipment. Assistance must be given to students undergoing similar research or study to defray the high cost of the materials needed. Follow up study maybe conducted to improved the overall design of the machine o increase its performance.
