Project Development Report
The project was entitled " LAVERO Broiler Production' which derived from the name of the proponents. The proponents chose broiler as the project which aimed to develop skills and gain an experience in this type of business. The project was located at Sitio Tanag Brgy. San Isidro Rodriguez, Rizal. t was Conducted on June 23, 2014 and was ended on October 13, 2014. The proponents raised four hundred (400) chicks in one cycle operation. The project was financed by the proponents. The proponents purchased the stocks at CCF Poultry Supply located at Tagumpay San Jose Rodriguez, Rizal. The proponents purchased the stocks last August 19, 2014 amounting to nine thousand two hundred pesos (P 9 200.00)at twenty three pesos (P 23.00) each The stocks had an average initial weight of 50 grams. Prior to the arrival of the stocks, the proponents cleaned and disinfected the poultry house and the brooding cage and prepared all the supplies and materials.The proponents used a brooding cage to provide a regulated temperature for the chicks. The brooding cage consists of four compartrnents, each compartment can accommodate 100 heads of chicks. The proponents used a newspaper and saw dust as a litter material. The Iitter material was changed twice a day, one in the morning and the other on the afternoon. The proponents provided an eight piece of 50 watt incandescent bulb that was used as source of heat. Then lasted for 14 days and stocks were transferred to a poultry house because the brooding cage can no longer held the growing stocks. You sent The proponents utilized a restricted feeding systern and a commercial feed was used throughout the duration of the project. For the first two weeks, chick booster was given at a rate of 18 grams per head per day with a total consumed of 104 kilos. Starter feeds was given at a rate of 110 grams per stock for seven days with a total of 242 kilo. A total of 734 kilos of grower feeds was given at a rate of 150 grams per stock per day while 94 kilos for finisher were consumed at a rate of 90 grams per head for the last 10 days of raising. The project produced 320 heads intend for marketing while the rest incurred to losses as mortality. The total mortality of the stocks were 80 heads, 57 heads was recorded during brooding while 23 during the growing stage. The stocks were sold through live weight and dress weight basis. A total of 200 kilo of live weight was sold at a price of one hundred wenty five pesos ( P 125.00) per kilo while the dressed chicken produced 160 kilos sold at one hundred forty pesos (P 140.00) per kilo while the visceral parts weighed 8 kilo amounting to ninety pesos (P 90.00 ) per kilo. The total sales was forty eight thousand seven hundred sixty pesos (P 48 760.00) while the expenses was forty four thousand nine hundred fifity two pesos (P 44 952.00). It gained a net income of P3808.00 with a computed Return on Investment (ROI) of 8.47 %. in conducting this project the proponents encountered some problems sUch as improper temperature management; the marketing quality of stocks and the marketing strategy Relative to this, the proponents recommend the following: observe very frequently the temperature existing inside the poultry house in order to make perennial action as necessary The kind of stock is so crucial in raising
