Undergraduate Thesis
This study aimed to find the effectiveness of empirical learning approach in geometry. This was conducted during the School Year 2018-2019 at South Ville 8C National High School among Grade 7 students. The respondents were composed of 2 sections where in one of these was the control group and the other was the experimental group. The research used the pre- test and the post- test control group design of experimental method and Qualitative approach for the feedbacks of the teachers and the students. Based on the experiment and the data gathered, the findings and the followings: the mean scores of both control and experimental group in the pre- test and post- test increased from 11.05 to 19.73 and 12.05 to 22.15 respectively. There was a significant difference between the pre -test and pos- test mean scores as well as the posttest mean scores of the control and experimental group, as the p-value did not exceed 0.05 level of significance.
