Undergraduate Thesis
This project was named ANC's Vermicomposting Project denved from the abbreviation of the species that was used which is African Night Crawler. The project was supervised by the proponents namely Elvin Jay A Capunong. Christian Z. Enriquez, Mark Bryan Marino and Carissa Krista C. Vicente and it was financed by their parents. The project was implemented in one cycle operation from September 17, 2018 to January 11, 2019. Primarily, it aimed to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of the proponents and experience how to manage a vermicomposting enterprise.
The project site was situated at University of Rizal System, Rodriguez inside the campus at the back of USSG office where a vermihouse existed with four (4) vermibeds. The area was suitable for vermicomposting since it met the basic requirements such as flood free, shaded area and accessible. Due to worms sensitivity to light and wind, a tarpaulin was used as wall covering. The proponents did not cover all the sides of site since the worm need good ventilation too where they can survive and multiply.
