N2  - This study was conducted to find out the Impact of parental involvement and
non-involvement in academic achievement of grade 7 students in Tagumpay National High School during School Year 2016-2017. This involved 15 student respondents.
The researchers used the qualitative method. The researchers gave
questionnaires and interviewed the class adviser and students to determine the impact of the involvement and non-involvement of parents in the academic achievement of grade 7 students.

Based on the information gathered, the following findings were drawn:
Most of the respondents of the study were ages 12-14, all of them had
guardian and most of their guardian were married and most of them had occupation. All the respondents were living with their guardian, most of the parents helped their children by assisting them doing assignments and projects at home, preparing their foods and clothes and giving them allowance they'd needed as a support to their financial needs however, some of the respondents said that they still have difficulties in their studies, and most of the respondents are not performing well in class but they still have involvement from their parents when it comes to financial, physical and emotional.
Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn:
The respondents are ordinary students in the classroom and classified into typical family living with a simple life in their community. Involvement of parents with their children is a big help but it is not an assurance of students' high performance in class. Students' performance in class depends on students' ability not on their financial, emotional, or physical status in life.
Based on the findings and conclusions of the study the following
recommendations are given:
School Administrators as they are encouraged to let the parents to join
on the different activities that the school being implemented. They should build ties with the student's guardian to strengthen the home-school relationship,
teachers as they are encouraged to conduct home visit every month or if it is necessary to those students having problems with their studies to motivate and encourage the parents to support their child in school, parents should know the factor that affects the performance of their child they should attend meeting to be informed on the academic activities, changes, rules and regulations and payments in school so that they will be aware, students they must study hard even though their parents are lacking support in their study, and future researchers they must continue the said research study for the wider and depth explanation when it comes to the connection of parent and child. It will have a positive response towards the teacher and to the students
