This research was conducted to determine and identify the use of web- based sources of information to the learning experiences of social studies students at University of Rizal System- Montalban Campus. Qualitative type of research was used in this study because it can utilize the usefulness of web-based as a source of information for students. Twenty-five respondents were chosen through random sampling which answers the aims of researchers to understand the opinions of students in the use of web-based sources of information and how these help to their learning experiences. Through analysis of the data gathered and the results obtained in the previous discussion, the following significant findings are hereby summarized: Majority of respondents belonged to the age of twenty-two, who are female, fourth year students, and the gadgets they mostly use in web-based sources of the information was cell phone. Based on the study, the majority of students' respondents said the type of web-based sources of information they most often use was educational videos, e- books (scholarly, non-fiction and text books) and journal articles. In terms of how web-based sources of information help the college of education students; according to respondents it makes life easier, in terms of challenges encountered by the respondents, some sites and information required payment and personal data to log in. From the summary of findings, the following conclusions were drawn; Not all websites and web-based sources of information are trustworthy and correct, Indeed, web-based sources of information are easy to access but there are still a lot of difficulties to encounter, Common difficulties encountered in the use of web-based sources of information are the unstable internet connection, editable sites which are not secured, and misleading information are rampant, and Though there are difficulties, there are still alternative mechanisms to gather information. The following recommendations are given; To Department of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), may provide the website that has complete of learning resources and easily accessible without payment; To School Administrators, may we have a free E- learning resource center so that the students will not search information from google through that students can assure that the website was secured, safe, trustworthy and information are correct and credible; To Future Researcher, the findings of this study may serve as a guide and primer in conducting related research, and To Students, this study may serve as a reference guide for web- based sources of information.
