This study aimed to know the Contributory Factors on the Productivity of Office Personnel at Land Registration Authority during the first semester of School Year 2014-2015. The respondents of the study were 100 selected office personnel of Land Registration Authority. The descriptive method of research was employed in this study using questionnaire-checklist as the main instruments.
The obtained results from the statistical treatment were tallied, computed and interpreted using the appropriate statistical treatment. Frequency and percentage distribution was used to analyze the general profile of the respondents. Mean was used in order to determine the extent of the contributory factors on the productivity of office personnel. One way ANOVA was utilized to determine the significant difference between the profile of the respondents at LRA and the contributory factors on the productivity of office personnel in terms of benefits and services, working condition, human relation, job security and reward system.
From the gathered data, the following findings were drawn: With regards to the profile of the respondents in terms of sex, most of respondents were male with a frequency of 57 or 57 percent while females had 43 or 43 percent. In terms of age, most number of respondents belonged to age bracket 41 and above with a frequency of 79 or 79 percent while the least number of respondents belonged to age brackets 26-30 and 31-35 with the same frequency of 3 or 3 percent. There were 15 or 15 percent who belonged to 36-40 years old. In terms of civil status, b75 employees or 75 percent were married. It was followed by 9 or 9 percent who were widow/widower, and while single and separated had the same frequency of 8 Individuals or 8 percent. In terms of length of service, it was revealed that employees of the Land Registration Authority had been in the service for 10-15 years with a frequency of 14 or 14 percent. Next was 16-20 years with a frequency of 30 or 30 percent. Then, 21-25 years with a frequency of 22 or 22 percent. 26-30 years followed with a frequency of 5 or 5 percent. Lastly was 31 and above with a frequency of 29 or 29 percent. In terms of department, most of the respondents were working in the Reconstitution Division with a frequency of 27 or 27 percent. It was followed by Land Projection Section with the mean of 25 or 25 percent. Then both Docket Division and Land Projection Section had the same frequency of 24 or 24 percent. With regards to the extent of contributory factors on the productivity of office personnel in terms of benefits and services, LRA personnel slightly agreed on the benefits and services they received. Hence, the average mean was 3.20. However, top among them was Thirteenth month pay is received on time with a mean of 3.30. In terms of working condition, the average mean was 3.80. clean toilet facilities dominated among them with a mean of 4.20. In terms of Human relation, top among them peers are treated fairly at work with a mean of 4.20. In terms of job security, contributory factors were all verbally interpreted as agree with a mean of 3.72. Regularization of potential employees is easy ranked 1 with a mean of 4.10. In terms of reward system, contributory factors on the productivity of office personnel were all verbally interpreted as agree with 3.82 as the average mean. Both commendable services are recognized and commendable services are recognized topped among them with a mean of 3.90.
There was no significant difference between the contributory factors on the productivity of office personnel when they were grouped according to their profile.
In the light of findings of the study the following conclusions were drawn.
Most of the LRA office personnel are married and matured enough to do their duties and responsibilities. Hence, they have been in their work for quite
long period of time. LRA personnel are satisfied with their working conditions human relations, job security and reward system but not so much on their benefits. There was no significant difference on the productivity of office personnel when they were grouped according to their profile.
In the light of findings, the following recommendations hereby presented: Land Registration Authority should continue to be sensitive to the needs of their personnel particularly on benefits in order to maintain better productivity in their work. Office Personnel of LRA should continue working with zeal and commitment for the benefit of their clientele. BSOA Students should continue honing their skill in order to become assets in their future employment. Thus, a better contributor to the productivity of the offices or agencies they will be working on. Future Researchers may conduct and deepen the same study using other possible variables.
