The integration of technology in education continues to shape innovative teaching strategies for 21st-century learners. This study examined how video lessons can enhance the understanding of mathematical concepts among Grade 10 students. The research focused on developing, validating, and assessing the effectiveness of video lessons covering the topic of circles-specifically the center-radius and standard forms of a circle's equation, and identifying the center and radius from a given equation. Recognizing students struggles with abstract mathematical concepts and the limitations of traditional classroom instruction, the study introduced video-based lessons as a supplementary learning tool.
A sequential explanatory design was used with two groups: the experimental group, which leamed through video lessons, and the control group, which received conventional classroom instruction. Pre-tests and post-tests were administered to both groups to measure academic performance and determine the impact of the intervention. The results revealed a significant improvement in the experimental group's performance, suggesting that video lessons can effectively support student learning in mathematics. This study concludes that incorporating video lessons can improve comprehension and engagement, and provides strong support for integrating technology into mathematics instruction.
