Online resources: Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Technology Major in Civil Technology University of Rizal System-Morong 2024 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop a Modified Adjustable Scaffolding. Specifically, this study sought to design and construct Modified Adjustable Scaffolding out of locally available materials: perform try-out and revision phases to refine its functionality, and determining its performance in terms of load capacity and stability compared to conventional scaffolding systems. The study was conducted at University of Rizal Sytem, Morong Campus, located at Sumulong St. Brgy. San Juan, Morong, Rizal by the Bachelor of Technology major in Civil Technology students during their first semester to second semester of AY 2023-2024. The respondents for the evaluation of this study were ten (10) experts composed of two (2) Civil Technology, two (2) Drafting Technology, two (2) Mechanical Technology, two (2) Electrical Technology, and two (2) Safety Officers and twenty (20) students, ten (10) Mechanical Technology and ten (10) Civil Technology students. The researcher used developmental and descriptive since it involved developing and systematically documenting and analyzing various aspects of scaffolding systems to provide a comprehensive understanding of their characteristics and performance. In terms of designing and constructing the Modified Adjustable Scaffolding the materials needed can be acquired locally in hardware. Through try-out and revision, it was tested for operation where different operational defects were observed during operation, the Modified Adjustable Scaffolding reached functional output and attained objectives. On the level of performance of the output, through test and trial, it was interpreted as extremely acceptable in terms of load capacity and in terms of stability, the Modified Adjustable Scaffolding was interpreted as extremely stable. On the evaluation of the level of acceptability of the project, the Modified Adjustable Scaffolding was extremely acceptable in terms of design, extremely functional, extremely useful, very durable and extremely safe and maintainable while the existing adjustable scaffolding was very acceptable, very functional, very useful, very durable and very safe and maintainable by the civil technology students and experts. There is a significant difference between the evaluations made by the respondents on the level of acceptability of Modified Adjustable Scaffolding and Existing Adjustable Scaffolding in terms of design, functionality, usefulness, durability and safety and maintenance. This study concluded that there is a significant difference in the respondent’s acceptance of the Modified Adjustable Scaffolding and the Existing Adjustable Scaffolding in terms of design, functionality, usefulness, durability and safety and maintenance. The researchers come up with different recommendation base on the results of the study including additional safety features such as harness, anti-slip on the platform, and increasing the height of the frame and platform to expand the scope of works in elevated area. Additional storage for tools and equipment can be attach and a quick release mechanism can be use for easy assembly and disassembly.
