Training assessment of Sangguniang Kabataan council officers in Binangonan, Rizal/ Dom Denver B. Cruz.

Online resources: Dissertation note: Undergraduate Thesis Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Human Resource Management 2025 Summary: "This study focused on the Training Needs Assessment of Sangguniang Kabataan Council Officers in Binangonan, Rizal during the Fiscal Year 2024 - 2025. The researchers utilized descriptive method of research to determine the demographic profile of Sangguniang Kabataan Officials in Binangonan, Rizal in terms of age, gender, civil status, educational attainment, training/seminar attended, monthly honorarium, religion/faith, membership/ affiliation in other organizations, and employment. The study also determined the extent of training needs of Sangguniang Kabataan Council Officers in Binangonan, Rizal in terms of knowledge, skills and experience; and the significant difference on the extent of training needs of SK Council Officers when grouped according to their profile. The study also utilized qualitative research to determine the training programs that the SK Council Officers want to engage in and what training programs may be developed based on the results of the study. Findings of the study showed that the majority of SK officials in Binangonan, Rizal belong to the age group of 21-25 years old (79.5%). In terms of gender, 60.3% were male respondents and 39.7% were female respondents. Most of the respondents were single comprising of 99.1%. With respect to educational attainment, out of 224, 142 or 63.4% are at the College Level or undergraduate. Other results showed that in terms of training/seminar attended, Youth Leadership Development is the number one training attended by SK Officials with a percentage of 71%. Moreover, 89.3% of SK Officials receive below Php 10,000 as their monthly honorarium. In terms of religion, 88.4% were Roman Catholic and 193 (86.2%) has no membership/affiliation in other organization. Only thirty-one (31) o 13.8% have membership/affiliation in other organizations. In terms of employment, 139 (62.1%) were unemployed. Other findings showed that the SK Officials' Knowledge, Skills, and Experience obtained an overall mean of 4.47, 4.50, and 4.45 respectively. The profile of the respondents and the extent of training needs of SK Council Officers in Binangonan showed no significant difference. Only educational attainment and membership in other organizations or affiliation with respect to knowledge showed significant difference. Six themes emerged for the training programs that the SK Council Officers want to engage in such as Leadership Training, Community Development Workshops, Problem Solving and Critical Thinking Workshops, Training on Environmental Protection, Youth Entrepreneurship Seminar, and Basic Life Support Training. Based on the findings, the study concluded that an individual's maturity in carrying out leadership responsibilities is not correlated with their age; males and Roman Catholics make up the majority of SK officials in Binangonan; SK officials who are single have more time to dedicate to their work; the higher level of education follows higher level of leadership capabilities; these KSE of SK Council Officers still need to be developed to the fullest extent possible in order to enhance the quality of services they provide to young people and their communities; and the effectiveness of SK could be enhanced in a number of areas, including the implementation of youth-oriented programs and initiatives and the advocacy of youth-related issues in the local government. "
