The study aimed to determined the status and challenges of employees with disabilities in the Local Government Unit (LGU) in the Municipality of Tanay, Rizal. It investigated the profile of the Employee with Disabilities respondents, their status, length of service, and monthky income. Moreover, the descriptive research design utilizing a questionairre cheklist with a convenience sampling technique of employess with disabilities were applied in this study. It was found out that majority of the respondents generally are male, belonging to the age bracket 55 and above, married, college graduate, have orthopedic/moving disability and the majority cause of disability is acquire. Most of them are clerical support with the position of office staff and holding permanent position and have been in the service for 9 years and more, and the majority are recieving a mothly income less than P10,000 and have experienced career advancement so far. Access to free or affordable healthcare sevices (accessibility), access to the communication tools and technology (such as accessible websites, digital documents, and communication software) used within the organization as well as giving clear policies and processes for requesting and implementing reasonable accomodations foe employees with disabilities such as adjustment to workstations, flexible work hours, or assistive technology (communication process), and equal treatment to job applications (human resource management practices) were foremost challenges encountered by employees with disabilities. The respondents evaluation on the challenges encountered do not vary significantly when they are grouped according to their profile in terms of age, civil status, educational attainment, type of disability and cause of disability however, it vary significantly when it comes to sex. The respondents evaluation on the challenges encountered in terms of accessibility do not differ significantly when they are grouped according to their status in terms of classification/nature of work. However, their evaluation on the challenges encountered in terms of communication processes and human resource management practices differ significantly when they are grouped according to their status. Furthermore, there are no significant differences were observed among respondents' evaluation on position, monthly income, length of service and status of employment. Requesting fo support from Local Government Unit (LGU) with assistive technology (accessibility), conduct seminars and training on internal and external communications that are available in accessible formats as well as developing and enforcing policies that emphasize the importance of accessible communication within the organization ( communication process), and complying all requirements for job applications (human resource management practices) were the utmost solutions employed by the respondents on the challenges they encountered.
