Milk Tea is a popular beverage globally especially in the Philippines because of its cold, sweet, milky, and grassy taste. Meanwhile, ice cream is a cold dessert that is loved by every person as it is a mouth-watering treat. Since the Philippines is one of the tropical countries, NutriScoop entered the picture and made this well-known refreshment and cold dessert into one frame. The NutriScoop is a milk tea-inspired ice cream store. It offers a variety of flavors namely Wintermelon, Okinawa, Matcha, Dark Chocolate, and Cookies & Cream This product may serve the customers in two different sizes such as 6 ounces and 8 ounces depending on their desire. And just like the usual milk tea that is in a liquid form, this ice cream also has boba black pearl on top and bottom.
The proponents are launching a business entitled "NutriScoop". The NutriScoop is a mix of two words: "Nutri" signifies nutrition because the proponent uses nutritional components like stevia and collagen; and "Scoop" refers to how the product is prepared by the owners. Milk tea powders (flavors), stevia, and collagen are the main ingredients of the ice cream which makes it a unique product among others. Stevia is a good source of vitamins, minerals, essential amino acids, fatty acids, and health-beneficial bioactive compounds (Wolwer-Rieck, 2012). It is used as a healthy alternative to sugar as this is a non-nutritive sweetener that has little to no calories which will lessen the amount of sugar that contributes to the body of our customers. Furthermore, collagen is also added to the product as this is a protein that is responsible for healthy joints and skin suppleness, or stretchiness. This study is entitled "ESTABLISHMENT OF NUTRISCOOP IN VISTA RIO VILLAGE, SAN JOSE, RODRIGUEZ, RIZAL". The study will assess the viability of the NutriScoop business along the following business aspects: Marketing, Production, Financial, and Socio-economic. In addition, the following precise goal is intended to be determined by this feasibility study: (1) To present an overview of the market of NutriScoop in Montalban. (2) To serve the best nutritious Milk Tea Ice Cream in the market. (3) To provide employment, build trust, and a good relationship with the customer. (4) To promote and market the NutriScoop within physical stores and on social media platforms. (5) To generate a suitable profit and to contribute to the economy. NutriScoop is a general form of business partnership wherein the owners or partners are not just only responsible for their contribution but also liable to the partnership or the business itself. This business, NutriScoop, consists of four people who share and combine their skills, knowledge, experience, and talents. The NutriScoop requires P744,933 in total capital to run, with partners contributing P186,233 at a 25% rate.
NutriScoop's marketing strategy will consist of the four (4) P's of marketing: Product, Price, Place, and Promotion. The competitive advantage of NutriScoop is its main ingredients which are the milk tea flavors (powder), stevia, and collagen. The proponents proposed selling price for NutriScoop starts from 100.00 to P180.00; for 6 ounces P125.00 to 135.00; and for 8 ounces P169.00 to 175.00. NutriScoop primarily targets teenagers between the ages of 11 to 20 years old, with a focus on students and residents of Barangay San Jose, Montalban Rizal specifically located in CHARM. Out of 5 varieties the respondents are likely to choose dark chocolate as their preferred flavor.
In the first year of business operation, it can generate P2,638,448.00 in sales, P518,841.00 in income, P1,339,198.00 in cash, and a total balance sheet of P1,486,134.00. The yearly percentage growth will be calculated based on the business's predicted timetable for five years. During the first year of NutriScoop's operation, the financial analysis also consisted of the financial ratio and profitability ratios. The financial ratio of 6.02 current ratio, 0.15 debt to total assets ratio, and 0.85 owner's equity to total asset ratio. Meanwhile, in the first year of business operation, the profitability ratio of profit in sales ratio is 0.20, the return on assets (ROA) is 0.35, the return on equity (ROE) is 0.41, the retum on investment (ROI) is 0.70, the total asset turnover is 1.78, the return of Cost of Goods Sold Income is 0.19, and the Cash Payback Period is 1.2. The 1.2 Cash Payback means the business would be able to recoup its initial investment in one year and two months.
This feasibility study was conducted to evaluate whether NutriScoop may be an exciting new cold dessert option on the market. Its great nutritional content and unique flavor make it widely consumed by consumers. The socioeconomic aspect of this study emphasizes the value of the study to the government as well as to the community. It also highlighted that this study is figuring out not only the profitability of the business but also the positive contribution of it to people's lives. In conclusion, the NutriScoop is both feasible and viable.
