This study aimed to determine the disaster preparedness of Southville 8B, Brgy. San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal. The total respondents were were 50 individuals randomly selected from the residents of the area and a barangay official from the disaster risk reduction management of Southville BB, San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal.
The researchers used the questionnaire checklist and an interview guide.
The instrument was utilized by the researchers to get the needed data in order to determine the disaster preparedness of Southville 8B, San Isidro, Rodriguez,

The barangay lacks of officials of BDRRM and rescuers to suffice the needs of the residents when a devastating disaster like earthquake happens. But in terms of floods, typhoons and fire the number of rescuers and officials of BDRRM can handle it. And when it comes to the equipment needed, its budget is still on the process.
Some of the residents don't have any idea regarding RA 10121 "Philippine Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010" and the local government unit is conducting seminars with the residents so that they will learn about Disaster Management and to be prepared when disaster occurs. Their supply of resources will not be enough in case of disaster but they stated that their contingency plan is already on the process
From the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn: The residents are still adapting to the situation in the place. Residents are not fully knowledgeable about the disaster preparedness in their community. The barangay has not disseminated the information property regarding the barangay's contingency plan, evacuation center and emergency response team and the barangay is not ready for bigger disasters and they should provide budget for their equipment and human resources. Problems like transparency for the action plan, budget planning and lack of immediate response are evident the barangay.
In light of foregoing findings and conclusions, the following are hereby recommended. Residents, Should keep on being alert to the onset of typhoon and other disaster. Barangay of San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal, They should

provide, implement and disseminate a plan and respond immediately. Action plan should also be transparent which can help to prevent a huge loss in times of disaster. Future Researchers. Should conduct related studies that can enlighten the readers on the proper more to take on specific disaster happening. They should consider that forewarned is for aimed.
