EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop a Jig for Engraving Duplicator Machine. Specifically, this study aimed to design and construct a Jig for Engraving Duplicator Machine, performed try-out and revisions; and evaluated its level of acceptability of performance in terms of accuracy in numerical operations, accuracy in letter operations, speed in numerical operations, and speed in letter operations. Furthermore, this research also determined the level of acceptability of developed Jig for Engraving Duplicator Machine and existing Engraving Duplicator in terms of design, durability, usefulness, functionality, and safety and maintenance and determined the significant difference between the level of acceptability of developed Jig for Engraving Duplicator Machine and existing Engraving Duplicator. This study was conducted at the University of Rizal System, Morong Campus by the students of Bachelor of Technology major in Civil Technology during academic year 2023-2024. The group of respondents for the evaluation of this research was composed of four (4) Civil Technology experts, two (2) Electrical Technology experts, two (2) Mechanical Technology experts, two (2) Drafting Technology experts, ten (10) Civil Technology students, and ten (10) Mechanical Technology students. The researchers used developmental and descriptive methods of research to determine the level of acceptability and level of performance. The researchers used a researcher-made questionnaire checklist as the instrument to determine the level of acceptability of the project. On the design and construction of Developed Jig for Engraving Duplicator Machine, the proponents had a brainstorming to improve the design and functionality of the device. The researchers constructed the device out of local materials. Try-outs and revisions were also done by the researchers during the construction period of Developed Jig for Engraving Duplicator Machine. Through try-out and revision, the project reached the functional output and attained its purpose after revising the different defects found. On the evaluation made on the level of performance of the output, it was found that it gave proficient results in accuracy in numerical operations and satisfactory results in accuracy in letter operations, and in terms of production time, the result in numerical operations was verbally interpreted as extremely fast, while the results in letter operations were verbally interpreted as very fast. On the evaluation made by the respondents on the level of acceptability of the output, it was found that Developed Jig for Engraving Duplicator Machine was extremely acceptable in terms of design was verbally interpreted as “Extremely Acceptable”, durability which is verbally interpreted as “Extremely Durable”, usefulness with verbal interpretation of “Extremely Useful”, functionality with verbal interpretation of “Extremely Functional”, and safety and maintenance with verbal interpretation of “ Extremely Safe and Easy to Maintain”, and the existing engraving duplicator machine which is verbally interpreted as “Very Acceptable”. On the significant difference between the level of acceptability of Developed Jig for Engraving Duplicator Machine and existing Engraving Duplicator, it was found that developed jig for engraving duplicator machine which has a significantly difference in terms of design, functionality, and safety and maintenance, and was found that there is no significant difference in terms of durability and usefulness, between the level and acceptability compared to the existing duplicator machine.
