This study primarily aimed to determine the Level of Acceptability of Writing Enhancement Kit for English 7 Students in Jalajala District School Year 2021-2022. Specifically, this examined how acceptable the composed material is in enhancing the writing skills of English 7 students and how it is acceptable to be used by English teachers in their future teaching. Aside from that it also aimed to determine the level of acceptability of the developed writing enhancement kit as assessed by the respondents in terms of their profile with respect to objectives, content, clarity, criteria, and usefulness. The researchers conducted the study in three (3) public high schools in Jalajala District namely the Jalajala National High School, Bayugo National High School, and Bagumbong National High School. The respondents were one male and eighteen female English teachers from three public high schools which covered nineteen or one hundred percent of the total number of English teachers in three public high schools in Jalajala District. This study used the quantitative and qualitative methods of research. As qualitative and quantitative studies collect different data, their data collection methods differ considerably. Quantitative rely on numerical or measurable data. In contrast, qualitative rely on personal accounts or documents that illustrate in detail how people think or respond within society. Researchers use quantitative and qualitative research methods to observe situations or events that affect people. The study utilized questionnaire checklists as the primary data gathering instrument. It is composed of three parts. The first part identified the profile of the respondents. The second part was a Likert scale with its corresponding verbal interpretation to rate each statement and the questionnaire checklist for the variables that the acceptability can be measured, the last part of the questionnaire was composed of two questions. It involved what are the comments/areas of concern in the developed writing enhancement kit and the suggestions/preferences of English teachers to be included in the developed material. Based on the data gathered, it was revealed that, with respect to the profile of the respondents, in terms of age, the majority of them were twenty-two to twenty-nine years old. In terms of sex, eighteen respondents were female. In terms of length of years in teaching and length of years handling the English subject, the majority of them were four to six years experienced teaching and handling English subject, and in terms of educational attainment, the majority of them graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English (BSE ENG) composing eight of the sample with nineteen respondents. The acceptability of the writing enhancement kit in Jalajala district as assessed by the respondents in terms of age, sex, length of years in teaching, length of years in handling the English subject, and educational attainment is very highly acceptable as well as with respect to objectives, content, clarity, criteria, and usefulness. Furthermore, the comments/areas of concern to be enhanced in the developed material is to review/recheck the questions and directions to avoid a grammatical error. The developed writing enhancement kit is also said to have an in-depth explanation of the topic and that the style used in the kit is appropriate to the ability of the students, specifically grade 7 students. For the suggestions/preferences of the respondents to be included in the developed material, the respondents suggest adding more stories and examples in the developed material and adding more graphics, icons in each activity that could be self-made or free from copyright, and more colors to the title of each task. Similarly, some respondents preferred that the material should be more interactive and has more comprehensive information. Moreover, the researchers concluded that the developed writing enhancement kit was very highly acceptable to the respondents. The level of acceptability of the writing enhancement kit in terms of age, sex, length of years in teaching, length of years in handling the subject, and educational attainment is very highly acceptable with respect to objectives, contents, clarity, criteria, and usefulness. The writing enhancement kit will be helpful for the grade 7 students and will develop their writing skills.
