520 _aEXECUTIVE SUMMARY This study was conducted to know the effects of multimedia materials in life skills of children with intellectual Disability. The research conducted during the academic year 2013-2014 in Tayuman Elementary School Binangonan, Rizal. The subjects of the study were 12 pupils with Intellectual Disability out of 21 children with different disabilities. The researcher conducted this study to find out if the exposure to multimedia technologies can improve the learning process of the students, as well as their performance, and to know if these materials re appropriate in teaching life skills to those children with Intellectual Disability. This study used descriptive method of research utilizing researchers-made performance rating scale to attain the effects of multimedia materials in the life skills of children with Intellectual Disability. The weighted mean, standard deviation and dependent t-test were the statistical tools used to answer problem in line with the study. The study revealed that the exposure to the multimedia materials has a great effect to the life skills of children with Intellectual Disability since there is an increase obtained from the pretest and post-test results. Based on the findings and conclusion of the study, the researchers recommended the following: Multimedia materials have a significant effect on the performance in the life skills of children with Intellectual Disability and using multimedia materials as an elaboration in presenting the lesson that helped them to achieve the better performance of the student's life skills.
