520 _aEXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to determine the level of effectiveness of Computer-assisted Instructional Material in teaching Mother Tongue for hearing impaired pupils in Antipolo Sped Center. The respondents of the study were the seven (7) hearing impaired pupils of Antipolo Sped Center who evaluated the level of effectiveness of Computer-Assisted instructional Material in terms of objectives, concept formation, language and visual effects and five (5) teachers to evaluated the level of acceptability of Computer-Assisted Instructional Material. The researchers used Microsoft Powerpoint and Adobe as the main tools in editing the videos, texts and effects and dubbing of recorded voices. In determining the level of effectiveness of computer-assisted instructional material in terms of objectives, concept formation, language and visual effects, mean and standard deviation were used. The study revealed that the acceptability of computer-assisted instructional material in teaching Mother Tongue is very highly accepted in terms of objectives, concept formation, language and visual effects as evaluated by the respondents. Also, of the level of performance of Grade 3 hearing impaired pupils increased after exposure to computer-assisted instructional material. Furthermore, there is significant difference on the level of performance of Grade 3 pupils having obtained the computed t-value of 4.9259 which exceeds the tabulated t-value of 1.73. From the summary of findings, the researchers concluded that the developed computer-assisted instructional material was very highly accepted as an instructional material in teaching Mother Tongue for hearing impaired pupils. Also, the developed material helped to enhance the writing skill of hearing impaired pupils. From the findings and conclusion drawn, the researchers recommended to utilize the computer-assisted instructional material in teaching Mother Tongue for Hearing impaired pupils and to develop other computer-assisted instructional material in teaching different subject areas.
