520 _aEXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to develop and construct an Improvise Door Knob Alarm which can be used on residential and commercial purposes. Specifically, it aimed to perform try-out and revision, evaluate the acceptability of the project in terms of design, functionality, usability, and safety and maintenance, and test the significant difference on the evaluation made by the experts and end-users. The researchers utilized the research instrument or evaluation to determine the acceptability of Improvise Door Knob Alarm. The experts who validated the research come from the College of Industrial Technology. The respondents provided pertinent information crucial to the completion of this study. The results were tallied and computed for acceptability of the project. The first group of respondents was ten (10) experts who have knowledge, skills and understanding on electrical and electronics operations, the other thirty three (33) were the end-users who used the said device. The statistical treatment was the mean and the independent T-test. The T-test was used to test if there is any significant difference on the perception of the experts and end users. In general, the acceptability of the project as evaluated by the experts and end-users obtained a verbal interpretation of Extremely Accepted with a general average weighted mean of 4.8 The Improvise Door Knob Alarm was designed and constructed out of locally available materials. The project was Extremely Accepted as evaluated by the respondents. The computed T0value in terms of design, functionality, usability, safety and maintenance shows that there is no significant difference on the evaluation made by the experts and end-users.
