520 _aEXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The goal of the thesis is to determine the emergency preparedness of the Isidro S. Rodriguez (ISR) buildings at University of Rizal System-Morong through visual inspection, evaluation and assessment of the buildings. The researchers used two checklists in identifying the buildings' preparedness from the earthquake and fire that is the local infrastructure Audit form for buildings (LIAF1) and the Educational Occupancy Checklist, respectively. The researchers conducted the aforementioned procedures before, during and after class hours. After assessing the building, the researchers found out that 3 of the 4 stairways on the 3rd floor are inaccessible making it the most critical part of the building. Also, the cracks and leaks are found mostly on the third floor making it at high risk of being destroyed by an earthquake. The broken stairways and the cracks found can be fixed with different methods of renovating and restoration. These recommendations and solutions are drawn after deep study and analysis of the building, where the researchers asked for assistance of the professionals. In pursuit of the assessment done by the researchers, they established that the third floor of the ISR building is at high risk to disaster, while the first and second floors are still safe to use for a period of time.
