520 _aThe study aimed to develop and validate work text in in Biotechnology for special science class. This study developed a work text on Biotechnology with respect to different selected learning areas such as Fundamental Concept in Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, Biotechnology for Health, Bioremediation and Bioterrorism It was conducted at Geronimo National High School during the second semester for the School Year 2019-2020 The study made use of descriptive design. The respondents were the special science class who were randomly selected to represent the experimental groups Based on the results gathered the respondents obtained higher mean scores in the post-test than the pre-test. The increase in the mean scores of the respondents in the pre-test and post-test was found significant The objectives content, activities, language and style graphics and designs usefulness, and evaluation of the developed worktext were evaluated as "very highly acceptable" The developed worktext was found by the student-respondents as a useful tool in understanding the topics presented and mastering the competencies given Moreover, the developed worktext underwent evaluation by the teacher-respondents. Through the help of the questionnaire checklist adapted and anchored from the previous study, results revealed that the developed worktext was evaluated as "very highly acceptable" in teaching and learning Science 7 concepts.
