520 _aThe purpose of the study was to determine the Effectiveness of Distance Education in the Performance of Grade 7 Science Students at San Jose National High School. The efficacy in students' performance in science was examined and defined in this study using quantitative and qualitative methods. The 50 students in grade 7 who were enrolled in either online and modular classes were the study's participants. Science students in grade 7 were tested before and after a lesson through distance education modalities, and the results showed that the respondents' performance had improved, as indicated by a modest rise in their Post-test Mean Scores. In other words, both kinds of classes demonstrate their effectiveness for distance learning. The performance of Grade 7 Leamers in Science also fluctuates significantly between the pretest and post-test, demonstrating the effectiveness of distance leaming on Leamers' performance. Although both delivery methods were successful, there was still a difference because the online class had a higher mean score than the modular class. Additionally, feedback from Grade 7 Leamers on distant learning addressed both its advantages and disadvantages. While effective and useful, distance leaming is also challenging and demanding in other ways. It is challenging in that it necessitates technology tools and skills yet is nonetheless effective in raising students' performance. As a result, this study revealed the effectiveness of distance learning for selected Grade 7 Science students.
