520 _aThis study aims to determine the perceived Effects of Social Media platforms in the Creative Writing Skills of Grade 10 students in Montalban Heights National High School. The researchers used quantitative research, specifically descriptive design to determine the perceived effects of social media platforms on the creative writing skills of Grade 10 students in Montalban Heights National High School. The researchers administered the questionnaire checklist for the response of the respondents. The thirty respondents were chosen randomly to determine if there is a significant difference between the social media platforms used by the respondents and their profile. The findings of this study were summarized: Collected the profile of students in terms of sex, previous grade in English, social status and gadget use. Through analyzing the data, females were 22, with 73.33% and males were 8 with 26.67%. The majority of respondents outnumbered the mid-socio-economic status category with a percentage of 93.33. Also, the results show that 40%, accounting for 12 students, have a satisfactory grade of 80-85 in English. Moreover, 14 respondents outnumbered the use of both mobile phones and laptops, with 46.67%, indicating a preference for multiple devices when utilizing social media. As the researchers analyze the findings of this study, the results show that Facebook and YouTube serves as a valuable platform for linguistic and creative writing among the surveyed individuals. While Twitter and Tiktok plays a lesser role in shaping language skills and creative expression for the respondents. This suggests that using social media platforms cited has a significant effect in improving the creative writing skills of the respondents. The data suggests that the perceived effects of Facebook, Tik Tok, YouTube, and Twitter lead to the failure to reject the null hypothesis, implying that it does not significantly vary when grouped based on respondent profiles. Hence, social media is a tool for encouraging students to improve and strengthen their writing skills through watching writing related contents and using creativity and personal expression. It is a valuable tool that greatly contribute to students' writing skills whether academically and creatively. It is suggested that teachers and students must recognize the beneficial effect of social media as a tool for enhancing creative writing skills. For future researchers, this study may add to the body of knowledge that other researchers can use as reference material to determine if there are gaps in the study for future research on relevant topic.
