520 _aThis study aimed to determine the effects of cartoon movies to the aggression among Grade V pupils in Kasiglahan Village Elementary School. There were 20 respondents: 10 students, 5 parents, 5 teachers. They were purposely selected. This was conducted during School Year 2017-2018. The qualitative study was utilized to determine the effects of Cartoon on the aggression among Grade V pupils in Kasiglahan Village Elementary School. From the gathered data, the following were the summarized findings: On how cartoons affected the aggression of the students in their interactions to their family, the parents observed that they become troublesome with their siblings. They tended to have short tolerance in dealing with one another. The same with their friends, they not only quarreled with them but they also had the tendency of saying foul words Such behaviors of theirs were brought to schools and other places they used to go. On why do cartoons affected the aggression of the children, they felt satisfied watching cartoons shows and thought they were correct and worthy to be imitated, thus, the quarrelsome behavior of the characters even the foul words they uttered and the fighting actions as well manifested in them. Testimonies of respondents regarding the negative effects of cartoons imply the strong effect of cartoons to the children. Teachers never failed to encourage their pupils to watch educated shows instead of cartoons. Since their pupils were young and love cartoons, teachers tried their best to motivate them to be choosy of shows that have values Teachers also coordinated with the parents to ensure what they had advised would really be done by their pupils. The cartoons shows usually watched by the pupils were Spongebob, Mr. Bean, Doraemon, The Cars and others. From the stated findings, the following conclusions were drawn. Cartoon triggers the aggression level of the pupils. Pupils love to watch cartoons for they fulfill their wild imaginations making impossible possible. Hence, satisfaction is seen in them. Violent actions freely seen by students perceived proper by them. Thus, they imitate them. Encouragement is the only known antidote so far to help pupils choose the right cartoon to watch. Cartoon movies frequently watched by pupils are those considered as funny violent cartoons. In the light of the findings and conclusions made the following are hereby recommended: Students should be cautious in choosing cartoons to watch. Parents should monitor their children on what cartoons they watch. Teachers should not tire themselves encouraging their pupils to watch cartoons with golden values. Future Researchers may replicate the study using other possible variables in order to defend the results of this study.
