520 _aThis study aimed to analyze the coping mechanisms of Wawa Elementary School and Mascap Elementary School. The respondents of the study were 5 students and 5 teachers from each school. This study was conducted during the School Year 2017-12018. A qualitative research was utilized to attain the objective of the study. From the gathered data, the following were the findings, females dominated male respondents. Most of them were adults. Most parents were adults, housemakers and vendors. Their means of living was through charcoal making. On the coping mechanisms of the respondents, in terms of learning activities, teachers provided their pupils with worthwhile activities vital to learning acquisition. In terms of teaching strategies, teachers delved to traditional way of strategizing learning most of the time due to scarce learning materials. In terms of environment in school, they accepted the reality that public schools lack facilities, they just tried to be resourceful in order to augment what were available. In terms of transportation, they crossed bridges, they rode boats, and they walked two to three kilometer and they rode "habal-habal." In terms of coping strategies most of them said that they always woke up early for them to come in school early. They always packed foods for their lunch and when they had assignment they do it in school when they have vacant time. Through proper strategies to cope in these problems will lessen their problem. Encouraging students to study well. And using concrete objects and implementing rules inside the classroom. Problems are inevitable. The main problem of teachers and pupils are lack of transportation, technologies, learning materials and the modernization of school. From the summarized findings, the following are hereby concluded. The kind of work they had depends on the kind of environment they reside. Teacher and students have established their own coping mechanisms to the respective problem they encountered. Infrastructure and school facilities improvement needed In the light of the findings and conclusion made, the following are hereby recommended. For the School Administration they should keep on finding ways on enriching their facilities for the better learning. They should ensure different types of strategies to enhance their learning system and sufficiency of textbooks, and V updated technology. They should also send their teacher to seminar. For the teachers they should be resourceful in obtaining different teaching materials. They should continue enhancing their teaching competencies in order to make their pupils well equipped with necessary skills. For pupils they should not be discouraged to study harder even if their schools are located in far places. For the parents they should continue to value the education of their children by sending them to schools despite of the difficulties they are experiencing.
