520 _aThis study aimed to determine the hierarchy of values among Grade V students. This study was conducted in Southville 8 Elementary School during the year 2017-2018 with the total of 15 respondents comprising selected Grade V pupils. To attain the objectives of the study, the researchers formulated questions regarding on the hierarchy of values in terms of holy values, spiritual values, vital values and lastly the pleasure values. This study used the qualitative study. It involved interview in order to validate the assumption of their answers to the questions concerning hierarchy of values. Interviewing involved questions and answers from the Grade V pupils. After conducting the study the following findings were obtained. On how they manifest values in their daily lives in terms of interaction with their parents. Most pupils helped their families by showing their family value. Indeed by said often "I love you". Some pupils did their task well and on time With their classmates or friends, they showed fairness in socializing with them. They gave some foods and helped them On the student's hierarchy of values, they considered holy values higher than pleasure regardless of their ages and grades. All of them have a strong faith in God Most pupils hear mass every Sunday, praying and following the words of God Some of them were influenced by their peers in school or community Most pupils said that they tried to lie and some pupils commit to cheat. On how the pupils cope on the conflicting values, they revealed that their involvement to church activities helped them widen their horizons in dealing with conflicting values around them. Most pupils were active on their church organization some of them were choir member and altar server Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn Most of the students value their families by helping them, showing friendliness to their peers, and having fear to their teachers, Holy values prevail among the pupils. The environment plays a vital role on the development of values among the pupils. Being active to church helps pupils in dealing with their conflicting values that they experienced in their environment In the light of the findings in conclusions made, the following are hereby recommended Pupils should be more aware and understanding individual values of their peers. Parents should monitor and guide their children's behavior and continue communicating with them Teachers are encourage to the different values of their students in order to help them cope with the conflicting values happening to them. School Administrator are encourage to let students engage and participate to issues about hierarchy of values. Future Researchers this study will serve as springboard to conduct similar study in order to deepen the results of the present study with consideration to other possible variables.
