| 520 | _aEXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study was conducted to determine the performance of the Grade 3 learners before and after exposure to Puppetry Technique in Listening Comprehension. It was conducted in a face-to-face class at the University of Rizal System Morong Campus, Laboratory Schools during the School Year 2023-2024, using puppets as the instructional material. The respondents consisted of 24 Grade 3 learners. The researchers developed pretest and posttest assessments, which were validated by experts and underwent item analysis. An experimental method was used, involving one section of respondents. The researchers collected relevant data by administering pre-test and post- test assessments to the study participants. Based on the analysis and interpretation of data: It was found out that the level of performance of the Grade 3 learners was improved as revealed by the pre-test and post-test. The performance of the Grade 3 learners differs significantly as revealed by the post-test results. Based on the findings of the study, it was concluded that the Grade 3 learners performed better after the exposure to the puppetry technique. Based on the findings and conclusions drawn, it is recommended that: puppetry techniques may be utilized in teaching elementary learners to enhance their academic performance; they may be incorporated as an entertaining strategy in teaching elementary learners to promote engagement and learning; and parallel studies on different puppetry techniques, considering other subject areas, may be conducted to further explore their effectiveness in teaching elementary learners. | ||
