EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study was conducted to determine the strategies in managing separation anxiety disorder in selected schools in Eastern Rizal namely: University of Rizal System Laboratory School, Baras Elementary School and Tomas Claudio Memorial Elementary School during the SY 2014-2015. The study used the descriptive method of research utilizing the researcher made questionnaire checklist that was validated by the panel members to gather necessary data with frequency, percentage distribution, mean and one way analysis of variance as statistical treatment. The findings described that in managing separation anxiety disorder among preschoolers; disciplinary strategy and motivational strategy are very much implemented while democratic strategy is much implemented. As a whole, strategies in managing separation anxiety disorder among preschoolers obtained a verbal interpretation of very much implemented. The study also proved that the extent of implementation of the strategies in managing separation anxiety disorder among preschoolers with respect to disciplinary strategy, motivational strategy and the profile of the teacher respondents in terms of age, sex, monthly income, and length of service were found no significant difference thus failed to reject the null hypothesis of the study while with respect to democratic strategy in terms of age was found that there is a significant difference in managing separation anxiety disorder among preschoolers thus, rejecting the null hypothesis. Based on the findings and conclusions of the study, the researchers recommended the following: utilize disciplinary and motivational strategies in managing separation anxiety disorder among preschoolers and democratic strategy may also be used by the preschool teachers; and conduct parallel studies considering other strategies in managing separation anxiety disorder among preschoolers.
