Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Counseling University of Rizal System-Morong 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study determine the level of perspective and challenges of retired teachers. This was conducted during the second semester of the school year 2017-2018. The subject of the study were the retired teachers who are described in terms of profile such as age, sex, civil status, numbers of years retired and job after retirement. This study used the questionnaire checklist as the main instrument in gathering the needed data. It was validated with help of experts in the field of guidance and counseling. The data were gathered, tabulated and interpreted using frequency, percentage and rank distribution as the statistical treatments to determine the profile of respondents in terms of age, sex, civil status, numbers of years retired and job retirement. Mean was used to determine the level of perspective of retired teachers with respect to personal, family and social. Mean was used to determine the extent of challenges of the retired teachers with respect to personal life, family and social life. One way analysis of variance (anova) was used to determine the significant difference on the level of perspective and extent of challenges of retired teachers in terms of respondents' profile. Pearson-r was used to find the significant relationship between the level of perspective and extent of challenge of retired teachers. Most are female retired teachers belong to the age bracket of 71-75 years old, married, 16-20 years retired and many have sari-sari stores. Retired teachers perception on personal, family and social aspects are low. Challenges are seldom encountered by retired teachers. The profile of the respondents do not influence their perspective and challenges in life. Perspective and challenges are related. On the basis of the findings and conclusions enumerated, the following recommendations are hereby offered, local government and mswd may intensify the programs of retired or senior citizens. Further studies may be conducted considering other variables.
