Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Mathematics major in Computer Science) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to develop E-based Learning Device in Statistics. It also aimed to test its acceptability and effectiveness. The E-based Learning Device in Statistics was developed through gathering information. The researchers used PHP Language as their software and XAMPP as the local host server in making the program. The study was undertaken in the University of Rizal System Morong Campus during the Academic year 2014-2015. The respondents of the study are thirty (30) BS Math-CS Students and Ten (10) selected information Technology and Math Instructors. The respondents will determine the level of acceptability of the developed program and the level of effectiveness as revealed by their pretest and posttest. The researchers used the descriptive design employing the developmental method because it attained the desired evaluation through the utilized adopted questionnaire checklist of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers to evaluate the level of acceptability of the developed program in terms of accuracy, applicability, completeness, user-friendliness, workability, portability, modifiability and clarity. Furthermore, one shot experimental pretest and posttest method was used in this study. The result of the developed program was very much accepted by the groups of respondents. On the other hand, it was statistically found out that there is no significant difference on the perceptions of the two groups of respondents on the acceptance of the developed E-based Learning Device in Statistics in terms of accuracy, user-friendliness, workability, completeness and clarity. However, there is significant difference on the views of the two groups of respondents in terms of applicability, portability and modifiability. Based from the summary of findings and conclusions, the following recommendations were drawn. The developed E-based learning device inStatistics was found very much accepted based on the different categories and can be effective in instructional material in teaching statistics. The developed program was found very effective in the performance level of the students. Finally, revision and modification of the E-based Learning Device in Statistics should be done to suit the learning needs and abilities of students and parallel study should be conducted using another variable.
