Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study entitled effects of family orientation to the school achievement of high school students was conducted during school year 2014-2015. It aimed to determine the relationship of family orientation and school achievement of high school students. The respondents were selected high school students in San Guillermo National High School and Lagundi National High School (CCL) Morong, Rizal. The different parenting style such as authoritative, permissive and democratic and the school achievement such as examination, school performance, recitation and participation. The researcher used the survey method of research utilizing a researchers made questionnaire checklist as the main instrument for gathering data frequency, percentage and rank distribution, weighted mean and one analysis of variance or ANNOVA the statistical tools used in line with the study. The collected data where treated, interpreted and summarized. Presentation comprehensive findings of the study were also done. Based on the summary of findings, researchers concluded that majority of the respondents were male who belonged to 15-16 catholic whose family received a monthly income of 4,999 and below socio economic status. It also concluded that family is one of the feature of the external environment which play a vital in the developmental of the learners and democratic parenting style mostly preferred by the sibling or children. Examination, school performance, recitation and participation of high school students affected by the family orientation and school achievement is affected by other factors than home and parenting styles or orientation. The researchers recommended that strong linkage between parents and school personnel should be established to monitor academic achievement of the students. Academic enhancement program should be strengthened by the office of student development services in every high school students in order to provide the growing needs of the student clients and parallel studies should be conducted considering peer group and other social aspects to verify the results.
