Online resources: Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Counseling University of Rizal System-Morong 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to determine the learning styles and the academic aspirations of senior high school students in selected schools in Rizal. This was conducted during the school year 2017-2018. The subject of the study would be the Senior High School in Rizal, who described in terms of their profile such as gender, year level, social economic status (SES), parent's marital status and academic strands. The study used the questionnaire checklist as the main instrument in gathering the needed data. It will be validated with the help of experts in the field of Guidance and Counseling. The data that gathered was tabulated interpreted, and analyzed using frequency, percentage and rank distribution to determine the profile of respondents in terms of gender, year level, social economic status, parent's marital status and academic strands. Mean was used to determine the extent learning styles of the respondents with respect to visual, verbal, auditory, spatial and body kinesthetic. Mean was used to determine the extent of academic aspirations of the respondents with respect to receiving awards grant, belonging to top 10 in class, in receiving honors and being an officer in class organization. One Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to determine the significant difference on the learning styles and the academic aspirations of senior high school students with respect to different factors in terms of the respondent's profile. Grade 11 students are mostly females, belong to middle class status whose parents are married, and enrolled in HUMMS, STEM, GAS, and TECH-VOC. Grade 11 students are often visual learners. Most Grade 11 students aspire to become officers in class and school organizations. Personal information are not contributory to their learning styles. Academic aspirations in Grade 11 are not affected by their personal background. Learning styles are related to academic aspirations. On the basis of the findings and conclusions enumerated, the following recommendations are hereby offered, that the participation in the different activities by the students conducted by the school which will help the students to enhance their knowledge, skills and potentials must be done. Students are encouraged to join seminars and orientations to gain more information about learning styles and skills development. Parallel study maybe conducted considering other variables.
