Dissertation note: Thesis BSBA-FM University of Rizal System, Binangonan 2017 Summary: This study is entitled "Assessment of Business Opportunities and Growth Potentials in Teresa, Rizal Calendar Year 2015". Its main objective is to assess the financial manager's or owner's perception on the business opportunities and growth potentials conducted in different businesses in Teresa, Rizal. The purpose of the study answered the researcher's curiosity why some businesses stay longer in the field of business and others do not, what are the business opportunities and growth potentials being utilized by them that serves as strength in their business. And lastly, which of them has the possibility of providing good employment. The study was conducted at different businesses in Teresa, Rizal. The researcher utilized 314 respondents that were identified suing purposive sampling. The study used descriptive method of research to gather data. The researchers created questionnaire checklist as the main instrument that gathered data as well as personal interview to support the information needed in the study. The study employed the frequency, percentage and rank distribution to determine the profile of the respondents. Mean is computed to know the respondents' perception on the Assessment of Business Opportunities and Growth Potentials in Teresa, Rizal. Furthermore, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) is employed to determine the significant differences on respondents' perception on the Assessment of Business Opportunities and Growth Potentials in Teresa, Rizal in terms of Leadership, Financial, Sales, Client Fulfillment and Management when group according to their profile. It was found out that majority of the respondents were in the position of owner with the age bracket of 31-40 Years old, most of them were female, married, college level, and most of them had been on the position of below 5 Years. With regards to the business profile, majority of business were established as a single proprietorship operating for the period of below 5 Years and majority of the business has an initial capitalization amounting to Php 90,001 and above. The respondents perceived business opportunities and growth potentials in terms of leadership, that they always maintains a clear vision for the business, which ranked first having a mean of 4.48. In finacial factors, they often feels confident on cash flow and its predictability, with a mean of 4.18. In addition, with regard to sales, they often understands and communicates value proposition in the language that works best for clients. In terms of client fulfillment, most of the business delivers a quality customer services and experiences. Finally, in terms of management factor, they often manages a systematic sales program, which ranked first obataining a mean of 4.18. Furthermore, the researchers accepted the null hypothesis that there is no significant difference on the respondents' assessment of business opportunities and growth potentials in terms of leadership, financial, sales, client fulfillment and management when grouped according to the profile. Based on the study, it recommends the following; small business should also be open to other investment opportunities to have an additional income not just for their business but also for their family income. The private financial institution should offer other loan facilities that are appropriate and convenient for those small businesses. The future researcher/s should assess the business opportunities and growth potentials to test whether if it is for sustainability, profitability and stability of small businesses. The researchers recommend to conduct a similar study using other variables and to be conducted in Teresa, Rizal because there are more business opportunities.
