Subject(s): Dissertation note: Thesis BSIS University of Rizal System, Binangonan 2016 Summary: The study primarily aimed to develop and evaluated a Sales and Inventory System for NVG Trading located in No. 1 Paco de Blanco Sitio Hangganan Binangonan, Rizal during the School Year 2015-2016. The system aims to give accurate result for their business transaction. Its main purpose is to automate the business transaction and store necessary files and information for the business with the use of computers. The system was developed using Visual Basic 6.0 and Navicat Premium. The user can only access and manage the records of transaction, can monitor the stocks at the products and can have a daily transaction report, and inventorying of the product, while the admin can access and managed the user's field and was the only one who can check the sales and can edited the company's information. The admin can also add and delete users account and change the price of the items. The study used descriptive, developmental and evaluative type of research method in order to know what is needed and demanded. The researchers made used of descriptive research utilizing evaluative type of research to maintain and control overall factors that may affect the result of the system. The subject of the study has a total of thirteen (13) respondents which were consists of one (1) owner/ manager one (1) assistant manager, two (2) staff who manage all the transaction, and nine (9) faculty of the College of Computer Studies (CCS) which were selected using the purposive sampling technique because they are knowledgeable on the business process while the IT faculty member were chose because they are knowledgeable in system development. In order to determine the developed system's level of acceptability, an adapted modified questionnaire checklist was used as the main instrument which consist of seven (7) variables namely; accuracy, applicability, user friendliness, workability, completeness, portability and modifiability. On the evaluation of the system it was revealed that with regards to accuracy it obtained an average weighted mean of 4.4 and verbally interpreted as Highly Acceptable. With regards of applicability, it registered weighted mean was 4.3 and verbally interpreted as Highly Acceptable. In terms of User Friendliness, the developed system obtained an average weighted mean was 4.2 and verbally accepted as Highly Acceptable. With respect of Workability, the developed system manifested an average weighted mean was 4.4 and verbally interpreted as Highly Acceptable. In terms of Completeness, the obtained an average weighted mean was 4.2 and verbally interpreted as Highly Acceptable. With regards of Portability, the developed system obtained an average weighted mean was 4.4 and verbally an average weighted mean was 4.3 and verbally interpreted as Highly Acceptable. Furthermore, the study revealed that the level of acceptability of the developed system as validated by concerned respondents, and registered general weighted mean of 4.3 was verbally interpreted as Highly Acceptable. Therefore the researchers conclude that the Sales and Inventory can be used by the NVG Trading. Based on the conclusion drawn, the developed system meets the desire objectives of the study and as suggestions it can be adapted by NVG Trading. The future researchers are also encouraged to pursue further study to improve the system as need arises. Follow up study may improve the system in terms of user friendliness, completeness, and applicability.
