This may occur in families where parents are absent or unable to provide adequate care, or in situations where the parents have delegated some of the responsibility for childcare to the older sibling. This study aims to know the bonding and companionship, siblings can share experiences and create memories together, which can help to build a strong bond and sense of companionship. They may enjoy spending time together, engaging in shared hobbies or interests, or simply hanging out. Participants were composed of fourteen (14) selected pairs of siblings from selected municipalities in the province of Rizal. They were selected using purposive convenience sampling with the following criteria: substitute parent who is taking care of their sibling, 18 years and older, male or female. Participants were administered an expert-validated, research-made questionnaire to reveal the sibling relationship among selected families. The result showed that the majority of respondents describe, their relationship with their siblings as having a good relationship, open and helping each other guidance and emotional attachment was the foundation of their relationship inside and outside the home. Results showed that the advantage of having siblings who act as being treated as both parent and friend. All the respondents experienced different ways of being substitute parents, and felt proud for being able to face the challenges of being a substitute parent, which is not easy. The older siblings tend to prioritize their siblings rather than their own needs, but they enjoyed it because of they learned so much from the experience. Whereas the younger siblings felt they needed to adjust in the family set up because they have to submit to the authority given to their older siblings. The respondents reported that their relationship with their elder sibling became stronger and deeper. They became more accepting and understanding about the changes in their lives. Respondents maintain the respect and honor they give to one another.
