Dissertation note: Feasibility Study BSA University of Rizal System, Binangonan 2017 Summary: This feasibility study is entitled "Establishment of a Meal-In-A-Box Food Cart Business in Barangay San Isidro, Angono, Rizal". The business will be in the form of a partnership. It is intended to offer meal and beverage to the people of Angono, Rizal and the people around the vicinity, with a daily operation from 7:00 AM to 8:00PM. The business aims to provide good quality and affordable meal that could satisfy the demand of customers who are busy in their day-to-day lives, highlighting Filipino cuisine. The target market are the students, employees working in nearby commercial establishments and people around the location of the business. The business will attract customers because of the unique and creative way of putting the main dish and beverage together in one container, handling food in a convenient way and allows consumers to enjoy their meal despite the busy environment. The initial capital of Php 150,000.00 will be used to cover the pre-operating expense, business equipment, furniture and fixtures and working capital. It will be run by two capitalists partners namely, Jay R. Villegas, legal counselor of PhilHealth and Alda U. Reyes, Auditor IV at Commission on Audit. The financial aspect was shown clearly in the financial statements to help the users analyze and forecast the viability of the business. On the other hand, marketing strategy, as one of the strength of the business, will be in the form of different media such as word-of-mouth and printed advertisements. Through this, the business can inform the public about their product and penetrate a part of the market gradually Year by Year. The Meal-In-A-Box Food Cart business needs two personnel during the operation. A cook and a cashier work with distinct responsibilities who both earn minimum wages. Moreover, a sole supervising officer takes charge of the supervision of the whole business and its workers. The return on Assets and Equity shows favorable result. Payback period is computed to be 4.69 which is equivalent to less than 5 months. It only means that after such time the initial investment would be recovered by the owners. Considering all this facets, Meal-in-a-box food cart indeed find its place in the market. The demand for such business gives a desirable contribution to the government revenues, to the growth of related industries, to the Philippine Household and to the economy and society as well. Despite weaknesses and threats, the researchers hereby conclude that the business shows feasibility and viability that will contribute to the national and global economy. Based on the analysis of the study, attainment of short term and long term objectives are virtually certain in a determinable future span of time.
