Dissertation note: Thesis BSBA-FM University of Rizal System, Binangonan 2017 Summary: This study was aimed to determine Capital Budgeting of Contractors in Binangonan, Rizal. This was conducted during Calendar Year 2016. A questionnaire-checklist was used to gather the needed data. The respondents were owner/manager (27), accountant (6), budget officer (11), bookkeeper (5), Financial Staff (10), and others (11). This study used the descriptive method through a questionnaire-checklist fully-adapted from approved thesis. First part was the personal profile of the respondents in terms of age, civil status, sex, educational attainment, position in the company, length of experience at present position, and monthly income. Second part referred to the business profile in terms of type of business, nature of project, amount of project size, price adjustment, present capital, source of capital, number of employees, and Year existence. Third part indicated the perceptions of the respondents on Capital Budgeting of Contractors in Binangonan, Rizal. The percentile rank was employed to determine the profile of the respondents, weighted mean for their perceptions, and one-way ANOVA for the significant difference. Based on the respondents' profile most of the contractors were classified from middle adulthood to adulthood, majority of the respondents were male, majority of them were married and have reached the college level, and majority of them were new in the service and have monthly income from Php.15, 001.00 to Php.35, 000.00. Based on the respondents' business profile majority of the contractors were under single proprietorship, most of their projects were residential, have estimated project size of Php.1, 000,000.00 to Php.3, 000,000.00, have present capital of not more than Php.1, 000,000.00, majority of them used bank loan as source of capital, and most of the contractors have employees not exceeding of 20 persons. From the respondents' perceptions on Capital Budgeting of Contractors, item number 1, the approval of the proposed project is subject to availability of funds had a highest weighted mean of 4.74 and verbal interpretation of "Strongly Agree". Item number 10 was ranked 2 with a weighted mean of 4.59 and with the verbal interpretation of "Strongly Agree". Third in rank was in item number 9 with a weighted mean of 4.36 and with the verbal interpretation of "Strongly Agree". Sixteenth in rank was in item number 2 with a weighted mean of 3.46 and with the verbal interpretation of "Agree". Seventeenth in rank was in item number 6 apply with a weighted mean of 3.26 and with the verbal interpretation of "Disagree" and last in rank was item number 4 with the weighted mean of 3.06 and with the verbal interpretation of "Disagree". The perceptions of the respondents on Capital Budgeting of Contractors in Binangonan, Rizal had acquired a general mean of 3.86 with the verbal interpretation of "Agree". Based on findings and conclusion, researchers recommended for the Contractors in Binangonan, Rizal that in foundering a contractor services it should be from middle age/young adult to adulthood in order to a have better planning in a business, has courage to take risk, more effective enough, and productive. They shouldn't only to focus on gathering funds from personal savings but might also used bank loan or any trade credit. Have at least 20 employees to attain their responsibility in any work that would belongs to and most employees must be a college graduate in order to performed well. And it is more efficient to formed a business as sole proprietor because all the profits that will earned will be for himself only, although in partnership you shared in assets and liabilities but you will able to shared in one profit so it'll be lesser the amount you will earned. The researchers also recommend that similar study should be conducted in other using the same and/or additional variables.
