Dissertation note: Thesis BSBA-FM University of Rizal System, Binangonan 2017 Summary: This study aimed to determine the Sources and Allocation of Funds of Charitable Institutions in the First District of Rizal Calendar Year 2015. It focuses on two aspects as to how did the charitable institution manage to work out their sources of funds and how did they allocate their funds respectively; The study used the descriptive method and a questionnaire checklist in collecting the necessary data to determine the Sources and Allocation of Funds of Charitable Institutions in the First District of Rizal. The data was tabulated, analyzed and interpreted using a different statistical treatment such as frequency, percentage and rank distribution, arithmetic mean and one-way ANOVA. Based on the data collected with respect to respondents' profile particularly in terms of age, most of them belonged to middle adulthood, this is because adults are well experience in handling and controlling funds, with regard to sex most of the respondents were female, it means that females are more inclined in charity works than male. As regards with civil status most of the respondents were single because they assume greater responsibility; when it comes to educational attainment the majority of the respondents were staff, social welfare, board member and treasurer because they are the one that handle and circulate the financial resources in the organization. In terms of length of service, the majority of the respondents have been in 3 Years and below in their present position, as a whole most of the respondents are just new in the service. With respect to the organizations profile in terms of types of organization majority of them belonged to social welfare, residential, association and Elderly Home, as a whole most of the charitable institutions in the first district of Rizal are focused on helping elderly and those who are homeless; with regard to Years of existence in servicing charity most of them have been 8 Years and below and just new in providing charity works; as regards to number of beneficiaries there were small number of beneficiaries while some of there have large amount of beneficiaries in the organization and in the bracket of 41 members and above; while in terms of number of volunteers in the charitable organization majority of them have a medium number of volunteers. The study showed that there is no significant difference on the profile of the respondents in terms of age, educational attainment, position, and length of service. In relation to the organization's profile, there is no significant difference in terms of Years of existence. However, there is a significant difference in the perception of respondents in terms of sex and civil status while there is a significant difference in the organization profile in terms of a number of volunteers. This implies that single and female are more attached in charitable works than those in married and men and it also implies that most of the charitable institutions in the first district of Rizal are just recently established and also the number of volunteer depends on the activities of the organization. Based on the summary of findings and conclusion the following recommendations are hereby drawn: The researchers recommend that the charitable institutions must focus on programs and activities that will help the organization to raise funds. They should also ask the government to have affiliations or linkages to other international charitable institutions. The administration must also promote their organization to encourage more sponsors that will help them to continue the operation in the organization.
