This study aimed to determine the Integration of Educational Games in Lesson for Grade 3 Pupils: Basis for the Development of Skill Book
The researchers used descriptive quantitative experimental method. This describes and analyzes variables in carefully controlled conditions as a basis for inferring or concluding. An experimental research, therefore, consists of manipulating experimental variables under highly controlled conditions to determine how and why a particular event occurs.
This study was conducted in Amityville Elementary School during the School Year 2017-2018 involving two (2) grade three classes. From each class, fifty (50) pupils were chosen. One group was exposed to a method of instruction that involved educational games during class instruction tagged as the Experimental Group. On the other hand, which was labeled as the Controlled Group, direct instruction as utilized both classes were given pretest and posttest
Based on the gathered data, the following were drawn in pre-test and post-test of controlled and experimental group, there was an increase in the mean score of both controlled and experimental group in controlled group from 14 08 to 14. 80 while in experimental group from 12.62 to 23.26
There was a significant improvement in the mean scores of both controlled and experimental group in pre-test and post-test
There was significantly high comparison of controlled and experimental group in post-test
Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn integration of educational games makes lesson more interesting Performance of the learners improved after the utilization of educational games, Interest of learners is important to learning
Based on the result of the study, the following recommendations are hereby offered by the researchers. The pupils must need to appreciate integration of the Educational Games that are being employed by the teacher It will help them to developed their learning and thinking skills. The teachers should necessary to use and innovated different educational games during class instruction for the pupils to be easily coped up and have an idea about the lesson. Knowledge to the educational games helps to motivate and enhance pupils' learning. It is suggested to use a skill book. The school administrators must use of these strategies will greatly help classroom discussion and pupil's response to every lesson. It will provide the information on the present status of the educational games used by the teachers. They should encourage teachers to develop a skill book. The parents should help them to guide their child with a good orientation so that their child will have continuing skills in learning and thinking. The future researchers this will help the researchers in the future when they are already teaching especially in determining the teaching strategy which they are going to utilized and suitable for their pupils. They should think and integrate more games for the subject matter given. The future teachers must use the appropriate teaching strategy that could develop the learning and thinking of their pupils.
