GS THESIS

In the realm of modern education, the integration of technology has ushered in a new era of learning, one that is characterized by dynamic and engaging instructional materials. This study delves into a particularly significant facet of this evolution the development and effectiveness of interactive video-based instructional learning materials in the context of quadratic equations and quadratic functions.

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the developed interactive video-based instructional learning materials for Grade 9 mathematics, specifically focusing on quadratic equations. Conducted during the first grading period of the 2023-2024 school year at General Licerio Geronimo Memorial National High School, the research involved Grade 9 students divided into control and experimental groups. The control group received traditional instruction, while the experimental group was exposed to interactive video-based materials. Prior to any instruction, all participants completed a pretest to establish their baseline understanding. The experimental group engaged with video-based instructional materials for each topic, followed by posttests to assess the impact on learning outcomes. Qualitative insights were gathered through an interview guide questionnaire.
