The study aimed to identify classroom management problems faced by Social Studies teachers in selected public secondary schools in Cluster 2 of Rodriguez, Rizal, during the academic year 2023-2024. It explored the effects of classroom management on teaching methods, assessment of learning, instructional materials, physical environments, and student behavior. Utilizing qualitative research, data were collected through interviews with teachers to gain insights into their experiences and coping mechanisms. Classroom management is essential for minimizing disruptions and maximizing instructional time, directly influencing student engagement and leaming outcomes Teachers in the Philippines often encounter behavioral issues that hinder effective teaching, necessitating effective management strategies. This study specifically sought to identify the problems faced by Social Studies teachers and evaluate their impact on the leaming environment. The findings revealed several key issues, including ineffective teaching methods inadequate assessment practices, limited Instructional materials, and behavioral challenges Teachers displayed resilience by developing coping strategies to address these problems.
In conclusion, the study underscores the multifaceted nature of classroom management in Social Studies education, highlighting the need for tailored strategies to enhance teacher effectiveness and student engagement. It emphasizes the importance of ongoing professional development for teachers to adapt their management approaches to the unique needs of their classrooms The study's result led to the proposed action plan, which aims to enhance classroom management through a structured approach that addresses various vital areas.
