Summary, etc The Project Developrnent Report was entitled FPJ's Hog Finishing Project.<br/>The project title came frorn the name of the proponents F-Francis Santiago, P-<br/>Parcero, Melvin and J-Jason Santiago. The project was managed by the<br/>proponents who were financed by their paents. The project circulated in one<br/>cycle and started on July 22, 2014<br/>The project was conducted at StioMacaingalan Barangay Puray<br/>Rodriguez, Rizal because of some factors such as availability of water supply,<br/>distance to neighbours, safe from intruders, direction of prevailing winds in<br/>relation to neighbours, acoessible to land for manure handling and favorable<br/>condition, The proponerits reconstruct he existing pigpen due tosome parts of<br/>the pigpen were damaged Also the welfare of the caretaker was able to learned<br/>and experienced in terms of raising and hogs care<br/>On July 22, 2014 the proponents purchased the stock at the vicinity of<br/>SitioDuhat Barangay San Isidro, Rodriguez Rizal The stock purchased was the<br/>crossbred of Duroc and Large white, whichwerefour (4) female arnd four (4) male<br/>with a total of eight (😎 heads. The other supplies and materials were purchased<br/>at the vicinity of Barangay San lsidro, Rodrguez Rizal.<br/>Feeding management was done by the proponents in restricted feeding<br/>and shifting of feeds was done gradually to prevent upset the feeding behavíour<br/>of the hogs. During its growing stage the proponents used four types<br/>You sent<br/>ofoerCiat pellet type of feeds such as pre starter, starter, grower and finisher<br/>Used tire was served as feeding trough.<br/>Water was given by proponents through installing two nipple drinkers at<br/>diherent site of a pigpen which was connected to water container and the<br/>proponents aways filled the container to make sure the availability of water into<br/>hogs Cleaning was done by the proponents through picking of manure using<br/>broomstick and dustpan then dumped to the deep pitAfter that, the proponents<br/>used water hose and broomstick to eliminate the remaining manure. Cleaning<br/>was done before and after feeding<br/>Disinfecting the pigpen was done by the proponents after cleaning the<br/>flooring and wals using broomstick, hand brush and detergent powder with<br/>water. After that, the proponents mixed 20 ml of disinfectant (benzalkonium<br/>chloride) with 1 gallon of water which was sprayed thoroughly to the walls and<br/>flooring.<br/>The proponents dig a deep pit for the manure handling where the manure<br/>was placed to minimize the spread of diseases and bad odour. The proponents<br/>did the health management through maintaining the proper sanitation and<br/>dryness of floor. In addition, the proponents gaveantitbacterial fortified with<br/>vitarmins and anthelmentics through mixing to water and feeds.<br/>Before marketing, the proponents canvassed for a buyer to ensure that all<br/>producadwifl be sold. The proponents started the marketing after 99h days of<br/>taising up to 132 days The hogs were sold in dress weight at retail basis and<br/>have a gross sale of eighty thousand seventy-four pesos and thirty centavos
