Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study was conducted to determine the level of performance of students who used the developed instructional materials as revealed in the pre-test and post-test result of grade 7 students in University of Rizal System Laboratory School. Experimental and Developmental methods were employed in the study which utilized in teaching the experimental group and the traditional method was used in teaching the experimental group and the traditional method was used in teaching the control group. In determining how the instructional materials in teaching Mathematics for grade 7 developed. qualitative description was used. To determine the level of performance of the respondents as revealed by the pre-test and post-test in terms of different lesson, mean and standard deviation were applied. While in finding out if there is a significant difference between the performance of the respondents as revealed by the pre-test and post-test, dependent t-test was used. To verify if there is a significant difference between the performance of the respondents as revealed by the post-test result in terms of different lessons in Mathematics, independent t-test was used. And in determining the effectiveness of the developed instructional materials, mean gain was used. The respondents show their performance that the developed instructional materials are valid and can be used effectively in teaching Mathematics for grad7. There is an increase on the level of performance of the respondents as revealed in the pre-test and post-test in terms of the different lesson in Mathematics for grade 7. And also, there is a significant difference on the level of performance of control group and experimental group as revealed in pre-test and post-test result in terms of different topics in Mathematics grade 7. The researchers' recommended to encourage the teachers to use the developed instructional materials in teaching Mathematics for grade 7 because it can be modified for the betterment of students acquisition. And also, the researchers' recommended to conduct a parallel study giving consideraton on the other variables and topics.
