This study was conducted to find out the qualities considered by companies in hiring on the job trainees as employees on five (5) different companies. This involved 4 employees and 4 employers.
The researchers used the qualitative method. The researchers conducted an interview with the approved structured questions to the employees and the employers to determine the qualities considered by companies in hiring on the job trainees as employees. Based on the following information gathered the following findings were drawn
From the gathered data, the following were the findings in terms of gender, they practiced gender equality. Indeed, they were open for all gender preferences, they did not see any problems if they would hire a LGBT In terms of age, some of the respondents said that they wanted 20 years old above, because they wanted a matured person in their companies In terms of academic performance, they did not focus so much on the academic performance of an interns but on the attitude of the interns when they were having their OJT
In terms of Intellectual Skills, companies preferred the intern with Verbal Comprehensions, Reasoning and Problem solving ability to be absorbed in the company In terms of Interpersonal Skills company preferred the Intern with good Listening and Questioning ability. Both Oral and Written Communication were preferred by most of the companies.
